Students are expected to complete 50-60 minutes of homework each night. Please check their Student Planner for assignments and check in with your child to make sure they have completed their homework. Never hesitate to email me if you have a question.

Reminder: New homework policy-
Homework will receive a zero if it is not turned in on time, unless there is a good reason given to me by a parent.  If one of my students left it at home or forgot to complete it, I will allow them to complete it at first recess and still get credit.  I will make note that it is late, however.  They must take responsibility to come to me and ask for another copy or to use a computer and stay in.

Prayers for a great week!

Welcome to 4A!  I am thrilled to be teaching at St. Anthony School.  I first earned my degree in teaching in 1999.  Prior to teaching, I had earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Fishery Science from the University of Washington and worked for Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife and with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.  I returned to school in 1999, attending Antioch New England Graduate School, to earn my Masters in Education, with a concentration in science. In 2011, I returned to school once again to earn a second Masters degree in Mathematics Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Vermont.

The majority of my teaching has been in public schools in Vermont, K-8th grade. I moved back to the West Coast and began teaching here at St. Anthony School in 2017. This has been my first time teaching in Catholic schools and I absolutely love being able to bring my faith into the classroom. What I love most about teaching is being able to get to know each of these amazing humans in my class each year and figuring out how to best help them grow academically and spiritually. My heart becomes filled at the start of each day as I greet each one of their smiling faces at my door.

Favorite Bible Verse: "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."  Philippians 4:7
